6A Playoffs – Round One
South Panola at Madison Central
South Panola visits the Jungle in the first round of the 6A playoffs to take on the Madison Central Jaguars. Over the past few seasons, Madison Central has had South Panola’s number beating them the last two times they faced each other.
Warren Central at Tupelo
Warren Central will hit the road to take on the Tupelo Golden Wave in the first round of the 6A playoffs. Tupelo is undefeated and one of the hottest teams in the state BUT Warren Central is one of the most underrated teams in 6A. Both teams have really outstanding defenses and both like to keep the ball on the ground. Could be a brawl in the All-American City.
5A Playoffs – Round One
Laurel at Picayune
The Laurel Golden Tornados will have their hands full trying to slow down the offense of the Picayune Maroon Tide in the first round of the 5A playoffs. Picayune in looking for some revenge in this one after Laurel beat them in the 5A South State title game last season.
3A Playoffs – Round 2
Charleston at North Panola
Maybe the best pound-for-pound game in the state tonight is in Panola County where the Charleston Tigers travel to play the North Panola Cougars in the second round of the 3A playoffs. North Panola is undefeated and boasts the best offense AND defense in 3A so far this year. But Charleston has been in this posistion before. They’ve beaten North Panola six straight times and are looking to go to their fourth straight 3A State Title game.
