More Than 50 Neglected Animals Seized, Not The Owner’s First Rodeo

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss– Pearl River County cops and the Humane Society took in over 50 animals from a hoarding situation Monday.

Ranging from dogs to turtles, the Pearl River County woman had over 50 animals in her possession. The authorities found some dead animals, as well. The police say they had gotten reports about animals in unsanitary conditions when they went to check out the home.

Not only did they find the 50 living animals and the deceased ones, they found that this woman, who will not be identified, had been in this same situation before, just at a different address. In 2010, over 100 animals were taken from her home.

The woman faces misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.
