CLEVELAND, Miss. – If you are in the delta and are looking for a break from the blues, check out Otherfest this weekend. It is the Delta’s only all original music festival. The festival is in its ninth year and will have 16 different bands performing on two different stages.
Otherfest is located on highway 61 north, just outside of Cleveland. The music cranks up at noon and will last until midnight. When the music ends you can still pitch a tent camp out for one big party. Camping is free and a recommended good time.
Headliners this year festival include the Soil & the Sun, a seven piece melodic rock band with an accompanying string section from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Quiet Company, a pop rock band from Austin, Texas, who received awards for Album of the Year and Best Overall Band at the Austin Music Awards.
This is an all age’s event, children under 12 get in free, and pets are allowed. You can also bring your own food and beverages if you want.
