JACKSON, Miss. – A doctor from Brandon and his girlfriend were arrested on drug trafficking charges.
Dr. Steven Tincher, who works at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon,was arrested on Thursday and charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance and one count of sale of a controlled substance.
He was arrested by The Brandon Police Department Narcotics Unit, DEA, MBN, and the Mississippi Board of Medical Licensure.
He is accused of abusing his prescription writing privileges.
Police also picked up his girlfriend, Lindsay Peacock, at the home the two share on Linwood Drive. She was charged with two counts of conspiracy to traffic a controlled substance, and one count of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance.
Tincher was released on a $100,000 bail, however, Peacock is still behind bars with a hold on her by the MDOC.
Chief Thompson said he expects other arrests will be made in correlation with this case.
