DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY– One is confirmed dead on the Delta State Campus.
2:12p.m.— Deputy Coroner Murray Roark confirms that a professor, Ethan Schmidt, is dead. He says they are searching dormitories for the shooter.
Police believe the shooting may be linked to a homicide in Gautier and are looking at Professor Shannon Lamb as a person of interest.
Police have begun evacuating students and faculty on campus.
