Scammers are again using the name of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to obtain money from citizens.
ACSO has been notified by several people that the scammers are using names of actual deputies saying that they have a bench warrant for failure to appear in federal court.
ACSO said please do not give out any personal information over the phone and do not purchase Green Dot, Money Pak, or other money transfer cards.
They are getting phone numbers to be on the lookout for at this time. If you have received a call that you are unsure of, please notify ACSO at 601-442-2752.
