Advertising Alcohol: You Could See Those Billboards In Dry Counties

JACKSON, MISS– A bill has passed the state house that would allow for advertising for alcoholic beverages; even if that county doesn’t sell the alcohol.

House Bill 843 calls to “delete prohibition against advertisement of alcoholic beverages originating in dry areas.”

The billboards aren’t legal in every county just yet. The bill now has to pass the Senate before it would go to the governor to be signed into law.
