JACKSON COUNTY, MISS– A little boy, whom police say may have been abused by his father, is recovering now, but could use your help.
Little Zander Saucier was hit in his face and neck, suffered burns on his body, a collapsed lung, and his liver is damaged.
Zander is still at USA Children’s in Mobile, Alabama, but doctors say he is improving.
His family has started the Team Zander facebook page for support and to keep updates flowing about his progress.
According to the page, Zander’s mom is finally able to hold him. His ventilator came out today, and his first words were “I want my Mommy.”
Meanwhile, Zander’s father Nathan Blake McCrory, is being held without bond at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center. If he is found guilty of felony child abuse, he faces anywhere from 5 years to life in prison.
