Have you recieved a check in the mail from AT&T lately? Not sure what it is for?
Well the Attorney Generals office says not to worry, this isn’t a scam. after a settlement in 2011 the company was set to remembrance customers for bad charges. These charges were from taxes, surcharges, and other worked in fees.
AT&T never outright admitted to the accusations but they had no problem paying back the consumers.
So if you did receive one of these checks, feel free to deposit. The Attorney General’s office said they are good for it.
