COLUMBIA, Miss.–In a situation that is almost unthinkable, what appears to be the body of a baby has been found in a steel drum in Marion County, near Columbia. The body might never have been found, but a tip came in to deputies and the caller didn’t leave their name or any other info.
Local sheriff’s deputies and the MBI were investigating the scene Tuesday and had ID’d and detained a person for questioning.
They were not releasing any other info, including how the body may have gotten there, how the baby may have died and who the baby was and who it belonged to.
