JACKSON- The Belhaven University campus has been named in the top 50 Most Beautiful Christian Colleges and Universities for 2017 by Christian Universities Online.
Belhaven took the 19th spot on the list.
“Being named one of the 50 most beautiful campuses is an honor,” said Belhaven President Dr. Roger Parrott. “What makes our campus truly ‘beautiful’ is the University’s dedication to nighter learning in an enthusiastically Christian environment where students are loved, challenged, and prepared.”
The top 50 were ranked according to architecture style, continuity of campus and natural setting.
“Hanging moss in oak trees, rolling hills, tranquil fountains and beautiful landscapes are just a few of the features that make Belhaven such a uniquely gorgeous campus,” added Dr. Parrott.
Belhaven has a 42-acre campus located in the historic Greater Belhaven Neighborhood. This location adds to it’s beauty.
“We embraced the historic neighborhood we are located in. Our campus buildings have a mixture of styles that capture a contemporary look, but also speaks to the history of this great institution.”
