GULFPORT, Miss.–It was a long and rough night for friends and family of Janaya Thompson, but an even worse morning. The body of a five-year-old child was found at a trailer park in Gulfport, and it is likely the missing girl.
She was last seen Thursday evening in the parking lot of a local apartment complex. After she went missing, it was an all-night search that ended this morning when that body was found.
The coroner did not confirm right away if the body was Janaya Thompson and the cause of death was not discussed.
