Body of missing Mississippi woman possibly found in St. Charles Parish, LA

ST. CHARLES PARISH, LA– The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Department has said they have found what they believe to be the body of a Mississippi woman that went missing last week.

The body pulled from the Mississippi River in Louisiana is believed to be that of Larielle Ross of Vicksburg, according to officials with the department.

“We believe it is her, but we haven’t confirmed it yet,” said Captain Patrick Yoes, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Department. “There will be an autopsy tomorrow.”

Ross was an Army Corps of Engineers employee. She was reported missing last week after the Corps of Engineers MSU boat made a stop in Norco.

This is a developing story. News Mississippi will continue to update.
