Bomb Threat at Adams County School Called in Just as School Let Out

ADAMS COUNTY, Miss.–Morgantown School in Adams County was the scene of a bomb threat this afternoon.  First responders were dispatched to the school at 3:10 p.m. and arrived shortly thereafter.

The Natchez Fire Department, Adams County Volunteer Fire Department and the Adams County Emergency Operations Office were on hand as the Adams County Sheriff’s office searched the school.  About 30 minutes later the building was cleared by sheriff deputies.

Children were seen standing outside the building as a safety precaution.  Sources say the bomb threat was called into the school.  Calls to the Natchez Adams County School District Public information officer were not returned.
