Bomb Threat in Mississippi on Eve of Boston Bombing Anniversary

MERIDIAN, Miss.–It was one year ago today that bombs went off at the Boston Marathon and tributes and memorials were planned in that city. In Mississippi, on the eve of that anniversary, a bomb threat was called in to the McDonald’s in Meridian.

Police got the call just after 9 Monday night and went to the McDonald’s on Hwy. 19 south.

Business stopped, everyone was evacuated and cops swept the building for any signs of a bomb. Nothing was found and employees opened the place back up.
