Officers were called to 476 Lower Woodville Road after someone made claims that a prowler was attempting to break into a home there. The complaint said that a smile black man, dressed in all black, was trying to sneak into a neighbor’s home.

The person who made the complaint told officers that McGowan was snooping around his shed  and he then fired three shots at the offender before McGowan before he fled down the hill and into a bayou behind another home. The victim confirmed the complaints telling officers someone had broken into her home

McGowan, who is accused of the crime, was located lying in a patch of weeds and he was taken into custody.
