CLINTON, Miss.–A bus carrying eight students was run off the road by a white van that crossed the line on Old Hwy. 80 in Clinton Wednesday. It happened right after school and sent most everyone on board to the hospital.
The Miss. Highway Patrol is now looking for a white van they say may be responsible for the wreck. Had the bus driver not swerved off the road and into trees, they might have hit head-on.
There were eight students and the driver, a total of nine people on board the Hinds County school bus. Seven of them, including the driver, were taken to the hospital. One of the students had life-threatening injuries.
