It was an eye-opening first round for Southern Miss Wednesday, as the UTSA Roadrunners humbled the Golden Eagles 9-2. This was a rematch from just a week ago that saw USM handily sweep UTSA. The Golden Eagles will face LA Tech at 12:30 Thursday.

The city of Biloxi is playing host to the Conference USA baseball tournament this week. City officials expect fifteen-twenty thousand people to flow through town to see teams from across the Southeast play ball. The #1 seed Southern Miss Golden Eagles are ruling the roost, and are expected to continue their dream season through Sunday.
