You Can Still Apply for FEMA Assistance

JACKSON, Miss. — If you were affected by April tornadoes and you are running out of funds for temporary housing from your insurance company, you can still register for disaster assistance with FEMA, and that may include temporary housing. Eligible counties include Itawamba, Jones, Leake, Lee, Lowndes, Madison, Montgomery, Rankin, Simpson, Warren, Wayne, and Winston counties.

You can register by calling the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362 or register online at http://www.disasterassistance.gov. The deadline to register is June 30.
