Murder charges have been filed against Allen Russell in the murder of a man at a hotel on Broadway Drive in Hattiesburg.
Officers were flagged down on Wednesday and found the male victim unresponsive inside of hotel room. The victim has been identified as Bobby Gwin, no age or other information about Gwin was given.
The Hattiesburg PD stated that Russell had been taken into custody as a person of interest in Gwin’s murder, but he is now being charged. Russell is also being charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Russell’s bond has been set at $250,000 for the murder charge and $40,000 for the intent to distribute charge.
