PASCAGOULA, MISS- A child drowned at an apartment complex pool in Pascagoula.
Lt. Shannon Massey with the Pascagoula Police Department said they arrived to the Azaela Park Apartment Complex after receiving a phone call from the child’s mother at 7:32 p.m. She told the police her seven-year-old son, James Sims was missing.
Massey said, “When we arrived we conducted a door-to-door search at the apartment complex, but we did not find the child. We then went to the swimming pool where we located the child at the bottom of the swimming pool.”
Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus said, “Sims was transported to Singing River Hospital where he was announced dead.”
Police are currently still investigating the case.
