FLOWOOD, Miss.–A gun in God’s house Sunday morning went off and scared people, but didn’t hurt anybody. Congregants at Pinelake Church in Flowood were shocked when Joseph Edgar Ray’s 9mm went off accidentally just before 8 o’clock.
The people who told News Mississippi about the gun going off said police got there very soon after and arrested Ray, who had the gun in his front pocket.
He was charged with discharging a firearm in the city, which is illegal.
He was released after his arrest and does have a court date scheduled for January.
