Circus Elephant now Back on Road After Drive-by Shooting

TUPELO, Miss.–The Ringling Brothers elephant that was shot April 9th in Tupelo in an apparent drive-by is now back on the road with her circus family.

Trainers have not allowed “Carol” to resume her performing duties yet according to the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal but the 39-year-old Asian elephant is glad to be back with her normal crew.

There still haven’t been any arrest related to the shooting on that night, despite a hefty $34,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Tips can be called into the Tupelo Police Department at (662) 841-6491.
