COLUMBUS, Miss.- Columbus Councilman Marty Turner was kicked out of a meeting on Tuesday night.
Other leaders say he showed up to the executive session smelling like alcohol. He was escorted out by Police Chief Oscar Lewis.
It was confirmed by Mayor Robert Smith that Turner spoke out of turn several times that night and was disruptive during the session, which the public is not allowed to attend.
He denies any claims that he has a drinking problem and told WCBI that he was being ganged up on by other leaders because he speaks the truth.
