Constables Need Protection From New Open Carry Law, Says Supervisor

 

HINDS COUNTY, Miss. — The state’s new Open Carry law has one Hinds County supervisor asking for bulletproof vests for law enforcement officers.

Supervisor Kenneth Stokes says even constables should have the vest to protect themselves from possible danger and the county should pay for them.  County constables asked for the vests before but were turned down.
