Cooler temperatures for parts of state – 9-26-18

Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across Mississippi.

In north Mississippi, temperatures are not as warm as they were yesterday. Showers are likely along with a chance of thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s. Tonight, expect cooler temperatures with cloudy skies and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening that will continue during the night. Lows will cool off into the lower 60s.

In central Mississippi, showers are likely with a chance of thunderstorms. Highs will climb into the lower to mid-80s and at night, more cloudy skies with a chance of thunderstorms and showers during the night. Lows will dip down into the upper 60s.

In south Mississippi, mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s and the highest heat index readings will range from 100 to 102. In the evening, showers likely during the night with a slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Lows will be in the lower 70s.
