Cops Say Woman Accused in Burglary Lied and Escaped from Emergency Room

LAUDERDALE COUTNY, Miss. – A woman is still on the run after a burglary in Lauderdale County. It all started Wednesday when two people wearing masks broke into a home in the middle of the day. According to Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun, the homeowner was in the backyard and a woman was inside. The two “burglars” tied the woman up and put her in a closet. When the homeowner got home he fought and forced the two out of the home.

Before the burglars left they were able to take a gun and fired a few rounds while leaving.

Cops found one of the burglars in the woods, he is now in custody. Shortly after, they found a woman in the woods who said her boyfriend had beat her up and dumped her out on the side of the road.

“We thought we had another man in the woods, turns out it’s her. The two people that went in the house she’s the other one,” said Calhoun. “She made the story up as to why she was out here. We should have been looking for a black man and a black female.”

That woman is still on the run. She left the hospital after she was taken to the emergency room. If you have seen 19-year-old Jazmine Lachae Ramsey call the authorities.
