Couple Arrested for Trying to Join ISIS Heading to Court

Jackson, Miss– The Mississippi couple that was arrested for trying to join ISIS is headed to court. 

Muhammed Dakhalla and Jaelyn Young were arrested at the airport in Columbus when the two were trying to fly to Turkey to fight alongside ISIS, say police.

Dakhalla and Young will face the judge in June. They have until May 23 to take a plea deal.

FBI investigation showed the two were in connection with a representative from the terrorist group. They were making plans to join ISIS upon their arrival in Turkey.

They are being held without bond.
