SENATOBIA, Miss.- Using almost nothing but duct tape, cousins from Senatobia High School made some unique outfits to wear to their prom. The aspiring fashion designer and her cousin now have a chance to win $10,000 each in scholarships for the creative wardrobes.

Kechantra Ward, 17, and Jeffery Patton, 16, made it to the finals of the Duck Brand Duct Tape “Stuck at Prom” scholarship contest. They now face stiff competition from nine other couples from the U.S. and Canada who are also in the running for the big-money prize.

The cousins spent nearly 102 hours putting together the gown and tux using 28 rolls of duct tape, they even made shoes.

The winners will receive a $10,000 scholarship each and $5,000 will go to their school. Smaller cash prizes of $5,000 and $3,000 will also be handed out to the second and third place designers.

Online voting for the competition is open until July 8.
