Cyber Attack Leaves Patient info at Multi-State Hospital Network Vulnerable

JACKSON, Miss. — A cyber-attack on hospital network, Community Health Systems may have left your personal information vulnerable. The hackers are believed to be from China, and they took everything from birth dates to social security numbers from 4.5 million patents that were treated at those hospitals over the past five years.

Hospitals in Mississippi that are operated by Community Health Systems include: Biloxi Regional Medical Center, Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center, Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, Tri-Lakes Medical Center, Central Mississippi Medical Center, Madison River Oaks Medical Center, River Oaks Hospital, Wesley Medical Center, Crossgates River Oaks Hospital, Natchez Community Hospital, River Region Health Systems, and Woman’s Hospital
