Two young girls in Pike County are behind bars for allegedly murdering their mother.

Multiple reports state that 32-year-old Erica Hall was found in her front yard on Lawson Road suffering from several stab wounds and one gunshot wound around midnight on Saturday, and she died after being taken to a local hospital.

Shortly after, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office arrested Hall’s two daughters and charged fourteen-year-old Amariyona Hall with murder. Amariyona will be charged as an adult and is being held on a 150,000 bond.

Hall’s 12-year-old was also arrested and will face charges as a minor.

While no official motive has been revealed, reports indicate that an argument broke out between Hall and her daughters and it eventually turned violent.

After the fight, the two girls reportedly walked to a relative’s home down the street, and other family members went to Hall’s home and found her dead in the front yard.

The New York Post stated that the girls had allegedly tried to run Hall over with the family car on Friday night. Both girls will reportedly undergo mental evaluations during the investigation.

Erica Hall also had a 16-year-old and a 1-year-old daughter, but neither was home at the time of the incident.
