UPDATE: Deputy death ruled a murder-suicide

MADISON COUNTY-Madison County Coroner Alex Breeland confirmed that all evidence leads to a murder-suicide in the death’s of Darryle Davis and LaKrisna Myers. 

Officials said the evidence shows that Myers shot Davis, a gunshot wound to the head, at her home. Davis’ death was ruled a homicide and Myers’ a suicide.

Davis was a Hinds County Deputy and Myers was a nurse at Raymond jail.

Two people found were  dead in Madison County after a welfare check have been released.

Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker confirmed 26-year-old Darryl E. Davis and 28-year-old LaKrisna Myers were found dead at Clearview Drive.

Deputies arrived at 4:19 p.m. on Wednesday and found the bodies of Davis and Myers in the kitchen of the home, with a gun lying between them.

Myers was the owner of the home, and it is believed the two were dating.

Davis was employed by the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy and Myers worked at the Raymond jail as a nurse.

Sheriff Tucker said they are not ruling anything out at this point, and an investigation is being conducted to find out what happened. He said a more details would be available towards the end of the day.
