Delay on $31 Million Dollar Mars Food Update in Greenville

GREENVILLE, Miss. – Updates to Mars Food’s Greenville plant are being delayed into 2016.

The company known for making Uncle Ben’s Rice along with Seeds of Change, hopes to begin a $31 million dollar face-lift by the first of the year.

With the upgrade comes 25 new jobs. The plant currently has 230 contract workers and 226 full time workers.

The Virginia based company opened its Greenville campus in 1978.
