More Delays for Kemper County Coal Plant

KEMPER COUNTY, Miss. – The Kemper County coal plant will not be up and running in May.

The reason for the delay, Mississippi Power is blaming wet weather and construction productivity. Also, since the plant will not be done on time Mississippi power will be forced to repay $133 million in federal tax credits. No word on when it will be finished.
