I Didn’t Download It: Convicted Miss. Sex Offender to Get New Trial

LAUREL, Miss.–Images of children in sexually explicit poses on his computer is why John Lowe got five life terms in 2011. Now he’s getting a new trial and told the judge he didn’t download what was found on his computer.

His claim is that other people had access to the computer and that they were the ones who did it. Now Lowe will be able to use taxpayer money to have a computer forensics expert testify in his new trial.

WDAM reported the judge told the lawyers on both sides to come up with the date for the new trial. It was not clear just how soon that would happen.
