Drug bust in Lamar County finds thousands worth of Ice and black tar heroin

The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Hattiesburg office conducted an investigation that uncovered thousands of dollars in illegal drugs. 

Director of the MBN, John Dowdy confirmed that 26-year-old Shareka Holmes was arrested and charged with one count of selling a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Authorities were conducting the execution of warrants in Lamar County when they seized  six pounds of ice and about eight ounces of black tar heroin at two homes, one was on Travertine Drive , the other on Tiffin Street off Jackson Road.

So far only one arrest has been made. Holmes is currently booked in Lamar County where she will stay before appearing before a judge.

MBN, DEA, FBI, and Jones Pearl River and Forrest County deputies assisted in the search.
