Drug Dealers in Jail After Round-up in Leake County, More People Wanted

CARTHAGE, Miss.–Drugs are off the streets and county roads in Leake County, and so are some of the people accused of selling the stuff. Several police agencies helped round up 13 people and six more are wanted.

Eleven of the arrested have been processed by the Leake County Sheriff’s Department and are currently behind bars in the Leake County Jail: Aaron Burks, James Hardy, Candy Coghlan, Kinley Gates, Katelan Johnson, Timmerson Holloway, Carol Hankinson, Jake Hankinson, Tony Brown, Courtney Blaylock, Martez Harris  were picked up this week.

Out of the 19 warrants, six people are charged with the sale of methamphetamine and one person is charged with two counts of trafficking meth. Three people are charged with the sale of cocaine and three others are charged with the the sale of marijuana. Two others are charged with the sale of oxycodone.

The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Carthage Police, Leake County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Leake County Constables conducted the round up.
