Dutschke, Ricin Letter Suspect, Pleads Not Guilty

OXFORD, Miss.–The poisoned ricin letter’s suspect plead not guilty Wednesday on the five counts against him.

James Everett Dutschke, 41-years-old, is still maintaining his innocence with his not guilty pleas that were filed by his lawyer in Oxford in the last 24 hours.

In the indictment he is charged with sending the biological agent to President Barack Obama, Senator Roger Wicker, and Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland.

The multiple count indictment ranges from knowingly producing and transferring the agent to endangering the President through the mail.

He was initially suppose to be arraigned in person on Thursday in Oxford, where he is still being held without bond, but that right was waived by his lawyers with the pleas.
