Elderly Mississippians given help with electricity bill

JACKSON, Mississippi- Generous donations to “The Power to Care” from Entergy Mississippi customers and employees were recently matched by shareholders for a total of $389,769 to help qualified Mississippians in need pay their electric bills.

“The Power to Care” is paired with Entergy’s commitment to improving communities and empowering customers. One hundred percent of all customer and employee contributions to “The Power to Care” go to help seniors and disabled Mississippians in crisis.
In 2015, “The Power to Care” provided more than $1.8 million in assistance to 11,000 elderly and disabled customers in Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas.
