Eliminating the $5 Inspection Sticker One Step Closer In Miss. Senate

JACKSON, Miss.–Blow your horn, check the blinkers, hit your brakes. That’t the procedure for most inspections. But getting that sticker may not be necessary after the 2015 legislative session. Lawmakers of the Senate side got one step closer to cutting it out Thursday.

The bill that would do away with the sticker passed the Senate Finance Committee. It now goes up for a vote in the full Senate. Just when that could happen was unclear.

Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves announced he was making that a top priority earlier this week. He said he considers it doing away with a tax.
