WIGGINS, Miss. – The ex-head of the Stone County Economic Development Partnership has been arrested on an embezzlement charge.
Investigators with the State Auditor’s office say Jay Gumm stole more than $24,000. They say he was able to take much of the money by just depositing it into his personal checking. Gumm is home free on bond.
