Execution-Style Double Murderer Chooses Life

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. – A Louisiana man has been given two consecutive life sentences for the execution style shooting deaths of two Mississippi men.

Nichols Schilling faced two counts of murder in the deaths of Robert Criswell, 27, and Joshua Adams, 34, both of Magnolia.  Just as jury selection was about to begin Monday, Schillings changed his plea to guilty.

Prosecutors said Schilling shot the men June 3, 2011 at a mobile home in Kiln, which belonged to Adams’ cousin. Their bodies were found a day later, dumped near Abita Springs, LA.

Jessie Adams was convicted in April 2013 of accessory after the fact to murder and sentenced to 30 years in prison with 10 suspended.  Investigators said he helped get rid of the bodies and cleaned up the crime scene.
