Exploitation Allegations for Illegally using Card for Extra Cash

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. – Stealing money from one of her patients at a nursing home in Lowndes County has bought trouble for a West Point woman.

Roshanuan McFarland, 30, who worked as an aide, turned herself into police Tuesday.  She did so after being indicted for using, without permission, a patient’s Social Security debit card to get money from an ATM.

McFarland was released after posting a $5,000 bond.  If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
