Explosives in car left at Southaven church

SOUTHAVEN, Miss.- Police are looking for the person or people responsible for leaving a car filled with explosive materials outside of Brown Missionary Baptist Church.

The car is not there anymore and the church was not open when they discovered it. No one was injured.

Pastor Bartholomew Orr with the church confirmed with WMC Action News 5 that the car was outside the church on Stateline road and had the explosives inside.

Brown Missionary Baptist Church has more than 10,000 members and was founded in 1882. It is one of the oldest and largest in the Mid-South.
