Fight Between Roommates Ends in Gunfire, Police Standoff

JACKSON, Miss.- When you don’t get along with your roommate, you need to either work it out, or get a new roommate. These two just couldn’t get on the same page, so much that it ended violently.

Jackson Police Chief Lee Vance told WAPT-TV that the argument began over a parking space at the residence on Conner avenue.

33-year-old James Homan barricaded himself in the house. He had a woman in there with him, but she escaped when police arrived.

After a 3 1/2 hour standoff, police took Homan into custody by way of several flash bombs. Homan will be charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

The victim is in stable condition.
