Former Adams County Christian School Teacher Indicted for Relationship with Student

NATCHEZ, Miss.- A former Adams County Christian School teacher has been indicted by a grand jury on accusations she maintained an inappropriate relationship with a teenage female student.

The Natchez Democrat reports 39-year-old Stephanie Adams was charged in August with touching a child for lustful purposes.

An Adams County grand jury returned an indictment last week saying the relationship occurred between January and May 2014.

Parents claimed to have seen inappropriate text messages between their 17-year-old child and Adams. An investigation started after they saw the messages.

Adams was fired in May after school leaders found out about the incident.
