FLORA, MISS– A former Flora police officer is now going to prison after being convicted of molesting three children.
James Aldermen was charged with gratification of lust. There were three victims, each one ranging from three to five years old.
Aldermen’s wife ran a daycare center of out their home, but it is unclear if the children attended there. Aldermen did know two of the three victims personally.
After serving eight years in prison, Aldermen will have to serve seven years of post release supervision and also register as a sex offender. He also owes nearly $10,500 in fines.
Aldermen served as a police officer for nearly 25 years.
