Former teacher charged with child explotation

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss.- Mississippi Bureau of Investigation arrested a former East Rankin Academy teacher on allegations that stem from a relationship she had with an 11-year-old student. 

Allison Evans Slonaker, 42, was arrested on one count of gratification of lust and one count of exploitation of a child. She currently lives in Hattiesburg and appeared in court before Rankin County judge Kent McDaniel.

Slonaker is being held on a $100,000 bond for the gratification count and $150,000 for the exploitation charge, reports WCBI.

She is still being held at the Rankin County Detention Center.
