Four qualify for Delta House seat special election

Four candidates have qualified to run for the remaining vacant seat in the Mississippi House.

The State Board of Election Commissioners has qualified the candidates in a special election race for House District 30 which includes parts of Bolivar, Quitman, Sunflower, and Tallahatchie Counties.

The candidates in the special election are Blake Ferretti, William McClellan, Tracey Rosebud, and Lester Williams.

The election will take place on May 8, 2018, and the winner of the special election will finish out Representative Robert Huddleston’s term in the House of Representatives.

Statutory members of the State Board include Governor Phil Bryant, Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann, and Attorney General Jim Hood.
