Friday morning weather rundown: 5-26-2017, sunny skies and warm temps

It’s almost Memorial day and the weather is picking up all across the state getting ready for the holiday season.

In northern Mississippi Highs in the mid 80’s, staying cooler this morning in the upper 50’s low 60’s It’s looking like a very slight chance of rain, but there is a possibility of flooding in Greenville.

“Today we are going see warmer conditions than we saw yesterday. Temperatures across the state are topping out in the upper 80’s,” said Joanne Culin with the National Weather Service. “We are looking at some breezy conditions, mainly across the Delta with gusts 20 to 30 miles an hour.”

Central Mississippi is looking about the same with highs in the upper 80s and a slight chance or rain around the capitol city.

Down on the coast it’ll be a little bit cooler with highs in the mid 80s, but you probably won’t see any rain down there today

Things continue to look bright for the long weekend, leaving the gloomy chill of rain behind from earlier this week.
